Our son had been learning bansuri for a couple years, but his playing really improved when Bhaskar Das took him as a student. The weekly Skype classes have allowed our son to connect with a brilliant artist and dedicated teacher. Bhaskar ji is so committed to teaching, he even gave a lesson during a taxi ride after arriving home on a delayed flight! Even with a busy international concert schedule, Bhaskar ji finds time to teach, no matter where he is. Our son is fortunate to be his student.

I started learning flute from Bhaskar 3 months ago and feel like my musical abilities have moved forward by 3 years. His teaching has a process that tailors to the student’s needs/ability. For example, he will give you exercises that will help you overcome obstacles you are facing consistently. He will also make sure that you are correctly practicing music by asking you to share video of your practice, looking through it, and providing feedback. He explains theory of music and connects it with practice that helps you understand what you are learning and why you are learning it. For an extraordinarily talented musician, Bhaskar is a remarkably patient and kind teacher. I feel privileged to be learning flute from him.
